Scrapbook Rub-ons

Have you used any Scrapbook Rub-ons lately?

One of the most enjoyable aspects of scrapbooking is getting to try new ideas and products. Although scrapbook rub-ons are not new, they seen a new resurgence and are easier than ever to use. Many people really enjoy using them, myself included.

If you have never used a rub-on before, you ought to give them a try. They come in many styles, from alphabet lettering to uniquely ornamental designs and everything in between. Perhaps even a trip to your local scrapbook store could provide you with an opportunity to try them before you buy them. Many stores offer this for their customers.

A nice benefit of using rub-ons is that you can use them for titles, journaling, lettering, embellishments or quotations. They are quite versatile. You can even layer them.

There are many product manufacturers who market scrapbook rub-ons, too. Take a look at these companies:

  • Cosmo Cricket
  • 7 Gypsies
  • American Crafts
  • Mustard Moon
  • Basic Grey
  • Creative Imaginations
  • Over the Moon Press
  • SEI
  • Doodlebug
  • Fancy Pants
  • Three Bugs in a Rug
  • Heidi Swapp
  • Pressed Petals
  • Gin-X
  • Junkitz
  • K and Company
  • Maisy Mo
There are other companies that make rub-ons, too. This is just a list of the ones that come to mind. If you have a favorite manufacturer that isn't listed here, you can send a note to me by using the "Contact Us" form and I'll add it to the list.

Using scrapbook rub-ons is a wonderful way to add some creativity and dimension to your scrapbook pages. Give them a try. They are among my favorite embellishments.
