Scrapbook Tools

How many scrapbook tools do you own?

One of my scrapbooking friends has to own every new tool (read: toy) that comes out on the market. She uses them, don't think she doesn't, but some tools are just better than others. What are some of your favorite tools? If you have time, send us a note on our "Contact Us" page and let us know what works best for you and we'll post your comments here on the site. Your wisdom and experience might be just what the next person needs to know.

Some of the most common scrapbook tools seen in crops these days are:

There is a product for just about everything, isn't there?

Some scrapbook embellishments have their own specific tools, such as eyelets. There are a variety of tools that a scrapbooker can use to set eyelets. Some scrapbookers cannot live without the ClickIt. Other scrapbookers love the Crop-A-Dile. You may like the Silent Setter by Provo Craft. We each have our own desires, needs and personal preferences. What one person likes may not be the best tool for another person.

When you go to your local scrapbook store are you ever overwhelmed with the sheer number of tools that are available today? The good news is that you don't need all of them. However, it is also true that each tool is designed to make some scrapbooking task easier. Are they all must-haves? No. Some of them are quite helpful, though.

Whatever your choices are for scrapbook tools, it may be best to talk to some of the people who own or use these products. Check with the LSS owners or any craft store where there are crops and/or demonstrations. Ask what the prevailing opinion is on certain tools and let that help guide your decision about what to purchase and what to leave at the store.

You could spend a lot of money buying all the scrapbook tools that are being marketed today, but they probably aren't all worth it. Choose what works best for you. Scrapbooking is certainly a very personal hobby, so you have to be happy with what you have.
